How to link element into a diary system
Hi everyone,
First of all I have done the tutorial about the Diary system and i think that i undestood the concept. However i still have some questions.
The idea is to make a diary with two tab.
The first one is a simple menu with a texture ( MAP) and two buttons (close menu and change Tab) like you can see on this screen : https://ibb.co/p02V54x
The second tab is where I would like to add texts and images to the diary during the adventure.
But this is where I'm lost, I don't know how to tie the pieces together.

How I can link texts and images to elements declared in my UI?
The only thing that works is adding the pages to the journal.
PS: i don't care for now if it's a one or two diary page.
I hope I have been clear enough in my explanations.

Are you having trouble flipping between the two tabs, or just with syncing images with diary pages in the second tab?
Journals and Documents in AC are text-only, but you can associate images with pages by using this script on the AC wiki:
https://adventure-creator.fandom.com/wiki/Adding_images_to_documents_and_journals
You'll need to gather up your text in the Speech Manager first, but you'll then be able to assocate textures with line IDs, which can then be used to update a Graphic element based on the open page.
Only syncing text and image with the diary pages on second Tab.
The wiki script should do what you need, then. Let me know if you need help setting things up, though.

Long time since your answer, i follow all the septs but when i tried to connect my page texture to the page's ID number nothing happend.

Your Journal element is named "Journal", but you've got it configured as "PageText" in the component Inspector.
If you still have trouble, please share uncropped screenshots of your Menu, as well as the source of "page2".
