Active AC Menus Disable Themselves during Dialogue System Conversation

Hi!

So, I'm using Adventure Creator v. 1.71.7, Unity 2019.4.0f1 and Pixel Crushers' Dialogue System for Unity v 2.2.7,
and this particular issue involves a conversation call, and two menus.

Before I switched to the most recent version of Adventure Creator, the "Court Record" and "Options" menu would look like this:

Now they look like this:

There's no "Deactivate Menu" commands or animations used on those menus in any of my Action Lists and I couldn't find any check boxes in any of the Managers or the Adventure Creator Bridge that could account for this new behavior.

Is there somewhere else for me to look?

Thanks so much!

Which component specifically is becoming transparent - the UI Button?

You can change the "disabled" transition colour to be pure white (full alpha) to make it opaque again, but it's disabled because it's non-interactive at this time.

You'd have to check Clickable in cutscenes? in the Menu properties to make it interactive during cutscenes.

  • Ah! Conversations are cutscenes! Thank you!
  • Well, in the sense that they block regular gameplay - though this too can be changed in the Settings Manager.
