Ambience sounds while paused?

I've been using ambience sounds for crickets at night/birds during the day/etc, and the ability to loop and crossfade them with a single action is really useful, but I need ambience sounds not to be paused when the game is paused. Is there a script I can add for this effect? I know I could use in-scene sound sources to play them while paused, but this would be considerably clunkier for my purposes.

Edit: I've just realised that the music storage has a "Music can play when game is paused?" checkbox - perhaps we could have an "Ambience can play when game is paused?" checkbox too?
