Texture with multiple frames

I am new to both Unity and AC.

Is there any sample "texture with multiple frames"? In AC assets or publicly available.

When I follow the tutorial Displaying portrait graphics when Characters speak, it says:

The supplied texture must contain multiple frames arranged left-to-right.

I humbly know that a texture is more or less an image to cover an object, so does that mean an animated GIF?

I guess I found the answer, it is in here, in which it is an image which has child-images all with fixes size.

The image in the first tutorial is inaccurate (for "animate" option).

  • Yes, all animation frames must be arranged in a grid-pattern in the same texture file.

I've amended the image in the first tutorial, thanks for pointing it out.
