1920*1080 resolution problem

I am preparing my graphics with 1080p resolution with Adobe Photoshop.

my unity camera settings:

No problems appear in the unity game window. No problem when I run the game with nox player emulator

The camera causes problems when I export the game and open it on mobile devices

I've tried a lot of ways. I surfed on Unity forums but I couldn't solve my problem. How can I fully optimize my 1920x1080 images for mobile?

  • If your backgrounds are 1920x1080, and you want them to be fully displayed, then you need to enforce an aspect ratio of 1.778.

At the moment, your mobile device is wider than that - meaning it's able to display a wider area than you've drawn.

You can enforce an aspect ratio in the Settings Manager's "Camera settings" panel.

  • @ChrisIceBox I know that. With this method, the sides become black. I want the game to be full screen on all devices.

  • You'd need to draw your backgrounds wide enough for all devices, then.

Decide what your game's widest supported aspect ratio is going to be, and work from there. The widest ratio I can find through searching is 2.164 with the iPhone XS Max.

With a backround image height of 1080, that would equate to a width of 2337px.
