Surely you can simply have a 3D object's transparency keyed in an animation.
Have you tried that? It could be on the IDLE animation state and swapped to a different state if you want it to stop 'blinking'.

I think one of the main concerns of any asset provider is that a new Unity version update can necessitate an asset being upgraded. Domino/Butterfly effects n all that.
Fair point @David, but the thing is that the user base ARE the testing/bug reporting pool (helping keep it from being ALL on Chris to do). If each emergency fix waited until other bugs were reported then it could be too long between critical errors …

Brill! I think I tried that but it didn't quite work. But I did only have a single pair of key-frames on a rotating loop.
Mecanim is great but when two competing keys transition it clearly can get iffy with its mathematical outcomes.

I switched to a looped hinge-track and it doesn't cause the problem.
For the sake of looking into the actual problem, do you still want to take a look at the project files?

As this is the same function and may be related I won't start a new thread for a problem I with a Looped Track...
When I get to the 0 point on the track the draggable leaps off the track.

I first swapped the code out on the other issue regarding the looped track and then came to look at this issue.
I can't be certain whether it was connected but right now it doesn't give any errors on play any more :)

By insert I assume to push line 28 to 29 for this.I did this and the error doesn't appear any more. Makes sense it was looking for a value the looped option wouldn't have.
