Hi,
I have added the highlight script to an item (changed none of the defaults), and then added the Object to highlight as the same to the hotspot. When I hover over the hotspot it is highlighted but then it doesn't turn off when I move the cursor away.
I have a feeling that I should be have this turn off again but I am really not sure what I am doing wrong.

Yes, it should un-highlight when the Hotspot is no longer selected. If you enable Hotspot icons in the Settings Manager, do they also remain?
Is your Hotspot detection method set to Mouse Over? What render pipeline / material does the Hotspot use?

I hope you can view drop box images.
In case you are unable to
Display Hotspot icons only when highlighting is active,
changed the icon type as above and URP default for the hotspot.
Changed the icon to screen space as well so when i hover i get he icon but again it doesn't disappear unless i select it. I was hoping both the highlight and icon would vanish once i moved the mouse away.
To be clear: the Icon also remains on-screen?
You mention "unless I select it" - as in, interact with the Hotspot, such that it disappears once the interaction begins?
What are your Interface settings in the Settings Manager set to? I'll attempt a recreation.
"Unless I select it" as in click on the hotspot and at that point the icon and highlight disappear and the action list is run.
Interface settings
Movement: Direct
Input method: mouse and keyboard
Interaction method: Context sensitive
Still no luck recreating this, I'm afraid.
Would you mind PMing me your Manager asset files? That may help uncover some obscure setting somewhere that's causing such behaviour.
OK
I have started a new blank project and the hotspot highlighting worked as it should on that so i have replicated all the settings and it now works on my main project.
I am so sorry for time you have spent on this I really do appreciate it though.
