Hi - I have a game set up to use the nine verbs interface. When I hit Esc to pause the game the nine verbs interface disappears and the pause menu appears, as it should; however, whenever I hit resume on the pause menu, the pause menu disappears but the nine verbs interface doesn't reappear, and the game can't be interacted with.
There's no "Action List when turn off" associated with the pause menu, and the Resume button has click type "Turn Off Menu" (the source is Adventure Creator, and it's using the default settings, I haven't changed anything).
I tried putting an action list in the "Action List when turn off" slot with Menu>Change State>Turn On Menu>Verbs, but that didn't work.
Any ideas?
It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

What are your AC/Unity version, and what is the Verbs menu's Appear type set to?
By default, this should be set to During Gameplay, which causes it to turn off automatically when the game is paused, and on again when resuming gameplay.
Is the game entering normal "gameplay" mode when exiting the Pause menu? If so, it may be that the Verbs menu has become locked. Try using the cog icon beside it in the Menu Manager to get a list of all references made to it in the Console.
Hi Chris! My Unity version is 2022.3.24f1, and my AC version is v1.80.4.
The Verbs menu's Appear Type is During Gameplay. How would I check whether or not the game is entering normal "gameplay" mode on Pause menu exit?
I tried Find References on the Verbs menu and it came back with 0...uh...is that good or bad?
Zero is the expected default amount. You can check if the game is in Normal mode by enabling the AC Status box at the bottom of the Settings Manager.
Thanks - I switched on the AC Status box and, weirdly enough, it now works as it should (status switches between Normal and Paused, Nine Verbs comes back on Resume).
The Save option is now missing from the pause menu for some reason, but I'll see if I can resolve that myself...
