Text tokens in dialogue and reverting back from an expression

edited January 24 in Technical Q&A

Hi all,

I have followed Chris's new 3D primer video (great refresh Chris) and have the facial expressions change nicely according to the Text Tokens I embed in the dialogue text. However I cannot figure out how to 'reset' the facial expression back to the original 'normal' face at the end of the text. The character is left with a cheesy grin on her face when gameplay resumes.

I am not using actions to trigger the blendshape transition, otherwise I'm aware I could just set the blendshape value back to 0 in a separate action after the speech has finished. Is it possible to 'undo' the expression with a embedded Text Token in the dialogue?

thanks in advance

  • Sorry Guys, I think I solved it myself.

At the bottom of the players inspector there is a list of text tokens that can be used (It does say this as a tip in the manual - but I missed it). I can use [expression:none].

Didn't see this documented in the manual.
