Make inventory sounds stop changing volume when Audio Listener is on Player

I moved my Audio Listener to the Player prefab to change the volume of certain sounds based on the Player's position in the scene. However, this has an unfortunate side effect: the sound effects of my inventory (the menu with buttons - click sound) are now also changing based on the player's position. Forcing the sounds to Mono doesn't help; the volume of the sounds changes anyway, and there is no other option in the Menu Manager. Please help.

    Menu sounds are played from the Scene Manager's "Default Sound" object - try setting its Audio Source component's Spatial Blend to 2D.
