First Person Player moving in curves

The Player movement felt a bit weird and it turns out it always does "curvy" turns, no matter which option is checked, retro style movement, if the turnspeed is in the thousands etc.

It is not an instant movement into the direction that is pressed.
In the video I'm only using WASD one at a time and the player always does slight curves when changing direction, like it has to turn toward that direction first when moving.

  • Thanks for the report. What are your AC/Unity versions, and are you using Input System or Input Manager for input handling?

    AC Version: 1.85
    Unity Version: 6.2.7f2

    And i am using the new Input System for input handling, that can be checked when creating a new AC Game.

    Recreated on my end. Unchecking Movement smoothing? in the Settings Manager's Movement panel disables the effect for me. Is it the same on your end?

  • Yes it does, i did not think of looking in the AC settings for movement options, sorry.
