Cursor not visible in Interaction Menu

Hi

I have an interaction menu, set to pause on show. I have the main cursor set to Show On Pause, but when the interaction menu shows, and the game pauses, the cursor doesn't show.

I also have a Hotspot cursor set, just in case, but that doesn't show either.

The game is set to lock the cursor at start.

Any idea which setting I've missed?

  • What are your AC/Unity versions, and can you share your "Inteface" settings in the Settings Manager? Check that the Select interactions by field is set to Clicking Menu.

  • I can confirm it is set to Clicking Menu

Perhaps a feature request for v2 might be to have a "Capture Settings" button on the game editor that could screenshot all the tabs in one go, or dump them to some format that we could paste here to make your life easier?

  • AC 1.82.1
    Unity 2022.3.55f1

  • Does this occur in the 3D Sample Scene, accessible from /Assets/AdventureCreator/Scripts/Templates?

If so, PM me your Managers and I'll attempt a recreation on my end.

  • Yes. This is the 3d demo scene. I walk up, click on the ball, see the interactions, but no mouse pointer.

  • I've PM'd you the files.

  • The Interaction menu has Pauses game? checked, and Directly-navigate Menus while paused? is also checked at the top of the Menu Manager. The latter option means that the menu will be navigated with the gamepad / keyboard keys, which will hide the cursor.
