Hi friends,
I searched for an answer to this question online and in the forum but couldn't find one anywhere. I'm following along with Chris's Prefab Puzzle Logic tutorial and at about 16:00 the instructions are to create a Variables component, within which I need to click a 'Create new Component variable' button.
However, when I add the Variables component, there's only a drop-down menu labeled 'Component variables' and no button. I followed the instructions precisely up to this point: I made sure LeverBase was selected and added the component exactly as Chris outlined, but no dice. I have also deleted and reinstated the component multiple times to no avail. If anyone has a solution it would be very appreciated. Thanks all!
It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

Welcome to the community, @StitchesStitches.
It should be right underneath - what are your AC and Unity versions, and could you share a screenshot to show exactly how it looks?
If need be, you could switch the Inspector window to "Debug" mode to tempoararily increase the Variables array by 1, but it shouldn't typically be necessary.
Hi Chris, thank you for all the hard work you have done and continue to do.
I'm using Unity and AC's latest versions, Unity 2022.3 and AC 1.81.3
Here is a screenshot of my interface. In the bottom right corner you can see a dropdown menu where the button should be.

Thanks again.
The "Create new Component variable" button is visible in the screenshot - I've annotated it here.
Whoops, must have missed that! Sorry for my terrible eyesight. Thanks for your help Chris!
