Box collider rotates after loading, makes the hotspot or trigger not work.

edited June 2024 in Technical Q&A

When I use Player:Face direction to an NPC that contains a trigger child, then save and load the game, it occurs that the (any type of) collider will rotate somehow. It makes 2D colliders become thinner or even no longer work.
Using the Player: Move to point action may also cause the same issue in rare cases.

Unity version: 2020.3.17f1c1
AC version:1.76.3

  • IIRC this issue has since been addressed - are you able to update to the latest release?

  • Ok, thank you Chris!

  • @ChrisIceBox
Hey again, sorry, I can't update AC, it will kill my game.
Any solution for this version? :/

  • Apologies - I think I misunderstood your issue.

Can you share images of the NPC's Inspector? Make sure that Turn root object in 3D? is unchecked.

If it is, and you still encounter the issue, where in their Hierarchy is the Trigger located? Try making it a child object of their "Sprite child".

  • Try making it a child object of their "Sprite child".

    Problem solved! Thank you!
