hotspot 2D version 1.78

Did highlighting hotspot objects change in the more recent versions of AC? I am trying exactly the same in v1.78.0 as in v1.75.8 and it does not work.
My settings in v1.78.0 are at

  • In what way does it not work - are you trying to brighten the Hotspot sprites, show Hotspot icons, or both?

    You have no icon texture assigned in the Settings Manager - one will need to be assigned, or the "Hotspot icon type" will need to be set to "Use Icon".

    sorry for not being clear - I want to highlight the sprite associated to the hotspot (in the image, Bloco-thres)

    What render pipeline are you using, and what shader/material does the sprite use?

  • my bad -> public access granted now
    material -> Sprite-Lit-Default
    pipeline -> 2D (URP) Core

  • What are your Unity and URP versions? It may be a case of AC not affecting the correct material property.

    AC will try to "guess" which property to affect based on the pipeline, but it's possible to set this explicitly within the Settings Manager.

    Look for the Highlight material override property in the "Hotspot settings" section. Try setting this to either "_BaseColor" or "_Color" - do either of those work?
