Hotspot not interacting

I am having some trouble getting a handful of hotspots to work that appear in a UI part of my scene, through a seperate camera. However, only a tiny portion of the hotspot is recognising the cursor, it is being blocked somehow and I cannot work out what the issue is? I have tried changing the z axis, and changing and the Layer but nothing fixes it. Please see video here:

  • Is your Camera orthographic?

    If the positioning and layers are correct, then the next thing to check would be for the presence of overlapping colliders. Try disabling other objects in the scene that aren't necessary at this point, so see if they are preventing the Hotspots from being detected.

    Camera is orthographic. Struggling to work out what is central in my UI that still blocks my hotspot though… even using eventsystem to see what’s there. Been turning things of and on, but it is across scenes too, in same position. Which makes me think it must be in DontDestroyOnLoad? Plus just turning them off in inspector is good enough to disable right?

  • If it's in the same place in every scene, it may be from the Menu - could even be the Hotspot menu itself.

    Make sure that Ignore input? is checked in your Hotspot menu's properties.

  • Ah it is already checked.

  • And other Menus?

  • I have gone through and checked Ignore Input for all menus that can have input ignored and the rest need to be clickable

  • We'll still need to determine if its a Menu that's causing the issue.

    Does the issue occur if you swap out your Menu Manager asset file for AC's Default_MenuManager?
