Yes, I have an initialising script attached to the main camera on the menu screen which does the job perfectly. It's just a case of trying to blend Xbox's save/load code with AC's because ideally I'd still like to keep the timing of those autosaves in the game and the fact that the main menu does a check for the slot 0 autosave, and if it returns 'true' it shows an additional 'Resume' menu option on the main menu.
The robust way to link the two together will be to update AC's save system with callbacks, so that coroutines can be used for processes that take time.
I can add this, but you will need to use the latest release. What version are you using now?
