Npc Followers and speed

Hello

First of all, im thoroughly impressed with the plugin and i'd be pretty lost without it. All praise aside however, i have a bit of a problem. 

There is an NPCfollow function that works very well with npc companions, but variable speed appears to be and issue. If the player walks, the npc will follow just fine, but if the player runs, the npc will continue to follow at a walking pace. It appears the "path" script is overridden by the follow action and sticks to either "moving" or "idle". 

Is there a way to evoke urgency in an NPC follower? For instance, could you make the NPC run if it is a certain distance from the player?
