ProfileList element label

Hi Chris, I have a profile element configured liked this:

Whenever the game is autosaved, the profile is renamed to the current "Day" string variable ("Day 1", "Day 2", etc). This works OK as long as the game is in one language only. But if we switch languages, the profile name remains in the language used when the profile was originally renamed.

Would it be possible, then, to add a translatable "prefix" field to the profilelist element? So the actual profile could be named 1, 2, 3, etc and the prefix "Day" (or its translations) would appear only in the menu element?

I would need the same feature for saveslist elements as well.

Comments

  • The labels of profiles and save-files are written into the files at runtime - they can't be translated or added to the Speech Manager in the usual way.

However, it may be possible to rely on text tokens, i.e. [var:X] to represent the "Day" variable instead of using its value directly. I'll look into this possibility.

  • Being able to rely on text tokens would be great! Thanks, Chris.
