HDRP play rendered video
this somehow completely stopped working for me when I switched to HDRP. I guess I should make it work somehow with compositor? Anyone tried this?

Using Engine:play movie clip to play my intro ( with Video player on camera near) , and it renders just sky
The Action merely controls playback of Unity's Video Player component. Try testing the Video Player alone in a non-AC scene - this is likely a Unity/HDRP issue, rather than an AC one.
Unity's forums have a few threads reporting similar issues - this one includes a potential fix involving outputting to a Render Texture.
You are right, I made it work with render texture, but now when I play it through AC it stops working when I check "wait until finish" (video just never starts)
Just ignore this for now I ll try to research some more, seems like its all kind of broken.
Solved by updating to latest AC
