Hotspot interaction on NavMesh

Hi, struggling trying to add a hotspot interaction to a NavMesh.  I added the hotspot script, everything looks fine, but the cursor does not change.  Basically trying to get a 'Walk to' cursor on walkable areas.  Any ideas?

  • For what you're asking, try moving the hotspot component to the top of the list (above the polygon collider).

    HOWEVER, you're in luck, there's a much easier way...

    Go to your Game Editor: Cursor Settings: and check the box "Provide Walk Cursor", the walk cursor settings will open up, and you can choose "Only show walk cursor when over nav mesh".  This will make your walk cursor show up anytime the mouse hovers over the nav mesh, excluding any small hotspots that you may have added over some of the nav mesh.  Very convenient.
  • @zeek is correct.  You don't want to add a Hotspot onto your NavMesh - the two objects need to be on separate layers, so it will cause major problems.
